About us
Lovely Day Events was founded by event planner Lindsey Nickel in 2010. Our team has been large, with many event planners and assistants, and small with just Lindsey (in the very early days). Currently, we are a very small but mighty team with one virtual assistant and a handful of trusted event day assistants. We are positive, healthy, empathetic, and fun! (emojis are our love language.) We welcome LGBTQ+ clients and colleagues.
Weddings: Lovely Day Events provides design and full-service wedding planning for fun-loving couples. Based in Napa, Calif., they help engaged couples (and their dogs) plan destination weddings that are memorable, personal, and beautiful. Weddings are in Napa and Sonoma counties.
Celebrations of life: We help families to plan meaningful events to honor their loved ones without feeling even more stressed out. Celebrations of life are held throughout the Bay Area.

All positions are contract, on-call, and very part-time. Weddings are usually on Saturdays. Celebrations of life are usually from Friday - Sunday. Applicants must have high-end customer service experience, preferably in hospitality, catering, or events. Planners and Assistants must reside in the Bay Area. This is a great job if you have something flexible going on during the week and are looking for a fun way to make extra money.
Who you are:
Your pantry probably looks like The Home Edit (or would if you weren’t already juggling a busy life!) and when you go to a bar you notice if the glassware isn’t polished. You definitely have hospitality experience, maybe you worked as a server, bartender, events coordinator, or even a flight attendant. You want work that’s fun, you appreciate gorgeous events, colleagues who are delightful, and to be part of a memorable day. You can work independently and also take direction.
