Hi, I’m Lindsey Nickel!

I’m a wedding planner in California helping stylish, fun-loving couples getting married in Napa and Sonoma wine country. Many of our clients have dogs, love to travel, get excited to try new restaurants, and say that the most important thing for their wedding is having their friends and family together. Our clients want the ceremony to be outside, the food to be outstanding, and the dance parties to be epic. If this sounds like you, you’re in the right place.

HOW IT ALL STARTED

I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. The first party I ever planned was a surprise birthday party for my best friend in seventh grade. I started Lovely Day Events in 2010 when I was in Jackson Hole (where I spent my post-college years skiing in the winter and as a backpacking instructor in the summer). The Wyoming winters were too cold for this California girl, so I moved to Napa in 2014 and have been enjoying the beautiful weather and delicious food ever since. I’m so grateful to call Napa, Calif. my home.

I think becoming a wedding planner stems from always being very social and super organized (I’m lost without my checklists). I am very emotionally invested with my wedding clients and often shed a tear during the toasts. I love hearing from couples long after the wedding day and seeing photos of what's new in their lives on Instagram.

Lindsey is more than a planner, but a doer. She gets it done! As the bride, I didn’t have to worry about any logistics the day of because Lindsey had it all covered. She managed the vendors beautifully, coordinated with the property and event design company more than I will ever know, and handled our families with style and grace - and all with a smile on her face and 100% professionalism. Lindsey was a joy to work with, on her A-game at all times, and definitely who you want on your team for your wedding day.

Over the years, our beloved clients have been featured in Carats and Cake, The Knot, Brides, Rocky Mountain Bride, Style Me Pretty, and the like. For a gal that majored in Public Relations in college (go Orangemen), a magazine feature or press mention is as thrilling as Christmas morning.

IN MY FREE TIME
When I’m not updating a timeline or replying to a vendor’s request for a gluten-free vendor meal, you can find me enjoying the outdoors. I seem to always have a half unpacked carryon bag in the corner of my bedroom (I can never seem to get that unpacked in a timely manner). From traveling, to hiking, to dining al fresco at the newest restaurant in Napa you can usually find me doing something outside. I would be remiss if I did not mention that I’m married to CigarHusband and we have a hyper rescue dog (another passion of mine is fostering dogs).
